We executed a turnkey infrastructure project involving the construction of a reinforced concrete road bridge and culverts to improve access between suburban Mogadishu and the industrial zone. Designed with future expansion in mind, the bridge structure meets international load standards and features anti-corrosive materials adapted for the coastal climate.
The project scope encompassed site surveys, geotechnical analysis, soil stabilization, and structural design optimization to ensure durability in Somalia’s varying terrain conditions. The bridge structure, meticulously engineered with precision formwork and high-strength concrete, was constructed to withstand high axle loads and seasonal flooding. In addition to meeting international load-bearing and seismic resistance standards, the design was future-proofed to support potential expansion into a dual carriageway.
This infrastructure development aimed to ease traffic congestion and reduce transportation time for goods entering the city. The project included:
A team of civil engineers, safety officers, and logistics specialists collaborated to ensure timely execution, adherence to safety protocols, and quality assurance at every phase.
